A Waldorf Inspired Experience
1. Language Through Imagination & Play
In the spirit of Waldorf pedagogy, children are immersed in French through creative storytelling, dramatic play, circle songs, puppet shows, and seasonal crafts encouraging natural, joyful language absorption.
2. Rhythm & Ritual
Each workshop follows a gentle, predictable rhythm: morning welcome, artistic exploration, outdoor or movement-based activity, followed by a reflective group closure. This nurtures security, focus, and emotional engagement.
3. Nature, Craft, and Culture
Workshops often include natural materials, handwork (clay, watercolor, felting, beeswax modeling), or seasonal cooking. Themes are connected to Francophone traditions (e.g., “Les saisons en Provence,” “La nature au Québec,” “Masques du Carnaval Africain”).
4. Whole-Child Learning
Activities develop head (thinking), heart (feeling), and hands (doing) — promoting bilingual expression, fine motor skills, cultural awareness, and inner confidence.
Sample Workshop Themes
Contes d’hiver & Lanternes de lumière (Winter stories and lantern-making)
Jardin en français (Nature scavenger hunt & seed planting)
Cuisine & Comptines (French baking and folk songs)
Le Petit Théâtre (Puppet-making and story dramatization)
La Fête des Couleurs (French-Indian Holi celebration with natural dyes)
Workshop Goals
Foster intuitive language learning through beauty, rhythm, and play
Cultivate creativity, self-expression, and cultural wonder
Encourage connection to nature and the seasons
Build community among bilingual and Francophile families
