French Immersion FL offers immersive French workshops for children and adults designed to make language learning joyful, practical, and culturally rich.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our workshops are rooted in authentic language exposure and cultural connection.

For children, workshops include hands-on activities such as art, storytelling, music, cooking, movement, and interactive projects that make French come alive in a natural and engaging way.

For adults, sessions focus on real-life communication, cultural understanding, confidence-building, and conversational fluency in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Our goal is not simply to teach vocabulary, but to create immersive experiences where language becomes a living bridge between cultures.

Whether discovering French for the first time or reconnecting with heritage, every participant is guided with care, creativity, and purpose.

Guided by Language, Driven by Impact

French Immersion FL was founded by Maïté Baptiste, a native French educator from France currently teaching within Orange County Public Schools in Florida.

With over a decade of experience in language education, Maïté has supported learners from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Under her guidance, students have earned national recognition in U.S. French competitions, including multiple national medals.

She has contributed to the leadership of a FLAM school for three years, designing programs that help bilingual children maintain strong connections to their linguistic and cultural heritage.

Maïté is also the author of a French textbook and activity series created to make language learning creative, accessible, and meaningful. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Engineering and International Project Management, along with certification from the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Her philosophy is simple:

Language connects cultures.
Language empowers identity.

Through French Immersion FL workshops, she creates immersive spaces where both children and adults can grow, communicate, and thrive in French.
