A Waldorf-Inspired Immersion Experience
1. Rhythm, Repetition & Ritual
Each afternoon follows a calming and structured rhythm: arrival and song circle, main artistic or movement-based activity, storytelling, followed by quiet reflection. This nurtures inner balance and strengthens attention essential for healthy language acquisition.
2. Language Through Artistic Expression
Children acquire French naturally through painting, movement games, seasonal crafts, handwork, and cooking. We avoid screens and worksheets, focusing instead on imaginative, sensory-rich learning that speaks to the whole child.
3. Living Stories & Cultural Wonder
Storytelling and puppet shows drawn from Francophone traditions are central. Whether it’s a fable from West Africa or a seasonal legend from France, children are invited into the beauty of French through narrative and wonder.
4. Bilingual Confidence Through Doing
Language is learned not by memorization but by doing, repeating, and feeling. Children sing, move, create, and explore, developing real-world fluency in a nurturing, pressure-free setting.
5. Educators as Guides
Our team is made up of fluent or native French speakers trained in immersion methods and inspired by Waldorf pedagogy. We focus on warmth, connection, and modeling, rather than correction or testing.
Sample Weekly Themes
Les couleurs de l’automne (Nature painting & seasonal poetry)
Mon petit marché (Role-play market & fruit tasting)
Les animaux d’hiver (Wet-on-wet painting & puppet storytelling)
Autour du monde francophone (Dance, crafts & stories from French-speaking cultures)
Our Program Goals
Cultivate a love for the French language through beauty, rhythm, and joy
Develop cultural awareness and empathy through story and art
Build a foundation for bilingualism in a slow, natural, child-led way
Provide a peaceful, screen-free alternative to traditional afterschool care
